On Saturday August 21, Cayla Rimkis will be hosting a 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk for her senior project, in memory of her cousin, Sean Clegg. Sean passed away at the age of 14, after being hit by car. The decision was made to donate his organs, and Sean saved 6 lives. The race will help donate money to a room in his name at the Gift of Life Family House.

Tickets are $15 before August 7th, and $20 August 8th-Race Day. Checks should be made payable to: Gift of Life Family House.

All runners who regist by August 7th will be guaranteed a T-shirt. All others will recieve a T-shirt whil supplies last. At the race, there will be refreshments, as well as awards given to the age group winners, top male, and top female finishers.

Everyone is welcome and bring a friend too!

Parking is FREE in our front parking lot at 3rd and Callowhill Sts. Light refreshments will be served.

On Thursday, August 26th, Family House Ambassadors Matt and Anca are hosting a Beef and Beer at McFadden's on 3rd Street. This event is a fundraiser, from which the proceeds will be donated to the Family House. The event will be from 8pm-10pm. Tickets are $25 each in advance, $30 at the door. $10, or $15 at the door, from every ticket will benefit the Gift of Life Family House. The price of the tickets will cover domestic beers, beef, live DJ, and the chance to win some great raffle prizes, including gift certificates to Lamberti's Restaurants, La Buca, Derek's Restaurant in Manayunk, and Phillies tickets!

Hosted by Dan Sinnott and friends, the 6th Annual "Kidney Open" will be held at the exclusive DuPont Country Club on the DuPont Course & Nemours Course in Wilmington, DE. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Family House.

This event began six years ago with a group of friends golfing the day before Dan Sinnott's kidney cancer surgery, acknowledging that his surgery was going to put an "official end" to his golf season. Every year since, more friends have joined them for the affectionately-named Kidney Open.
