Happy 2016!! As the first week of the new year comes to an end, we're taking a moment to reflect on all of the wonderful and amazing ways our volunteers have supported and sustained our mission in 2015. In the video album above, we captured just a glimpse of some of our incredible volunteer groups who helped make the Family House warm and welcoming this past 2015. They are just a few of the THOUSANDS of caring individuals who made donations or gave their time to provide much needed services and help for our transplant families. Thank you!

On March 20, 2013, our 2012 Family and Founders' Circle members gathered at the Family House for the 2nd Annual President's Reception. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the first day of spring as well as recognize our very generous contributors for all of the support they gave us over the past year. The event featured three guest speakers, including two past guests of the Family House, Rhonda and Sarah Cataldo, who graciously shared their story with all of the attendees, and our keynote speaker for the evening, Michael Barkann, sportscaster for Comcast SportsNet and co-host at Sportsradio WIP. Penn Masala, a South Asian a capella group from University of Penn also came to perform at the event. We are proud to thank our members for their commitment and passion for helping others and for enabling the Family House to offer all of the comforts of home to families in need.

While waiting for her son to receive a double lung and heart transplant, Julie Keeton has been forced to make a temporary home away from home in a strange city, away from her family and friends. By staying at the Gift of Life Family House, Julie has been able to find refuge to help her and her family get through their transplant experience.
When Jeannine and Jeff Rose, upstate New York residents, traveled to Philadelphia for an appointment at Hahnemann Hospital, they never thought their lives would be turned upside down.
After her kidney transplant, Martha Harris was still required to attend follow up doctor's appointment and evaluations to ensure her health to progress in the proper direction. Instead of making long commutes from New York on a monthly basis, or staying at high priced hotel rooms, Harris was able to come stay at Gift of Life Family House where she could come from the waiting room to a warm room waiting.
Instead of making a multiple hour commute while spending hours at the hospital for follow up treatment after his double lung transplant, Larish is able to stay at the Gift of Life Family House just blocks away from his treatment center.
