Friends and family gathered to honor the life of Samantha “Sam” Pesaresi at the annual Sprint for Sam Race in New Jersey. Sam donated her organs and gave the ‘gift of life’ to three fortunate people – one, who was a lung recipient, joined to support the event and to meet Sam’s family for the first time. Her brother Roger Garrett, 57, suffered a brain hemorrhage and was declared brain dead. Lemansky and other close family members were approached in the hospital about the possibility of organ donation."
