The third annual Donors Rock Concert took place at Molly Brannigan's Irish Pub in Scranton, Pennsylvania last month. Many of Scranton's finest musicians entertained throughout the evening.

Jeff Diaz organized Donors Rock Concert three years ago after the tragic loss of his beautiful daughter, Mia Francesca Diaz. Mia was just shy of her ninth birthday when she was fatally injured while walking to school one January morning. Through donation, Mia saved the lives of three other children - Kevin, Demitri and Katey. Jeff states that, "Through their lives, my Mia still lives on earth. Through my memories and my heart, she lives forever. It's moments such as this benefit and my involvement with Gift of Life that I keep her memory alive knowing that because of her gift, others have lived. If I can only be so lucky to do what she has accomplished in such a short time here on earth, I would then be able to say that I have lived a good life."

Last year's event helped send seven children and their families to the 2008 Transplant Games in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This year, Debra Roberts, Director of Gift of Life Family House, is honored that the house has been chosen as the recipient of the proceeds of the event knowing that the money will help the transplant families that we serve.
